Havasupai – Havasu Falls – Arizona

This is short and sweet but the area absolutely stunning!!!!!!

Havasupai means people of the blue-green waters. The falls are located within the Havasupai Indian Reservation and attract thousands of visitors each year. The Havasupai people are intimately connected to the water and the land. The water of the falls are sacred to them, it flows not only across the land but through each tribal member. When you enter their land, you enter their home.

Due to the high mineral content of the water the shape of the falls is forever changing. Sometimes dramatically.  The area is remote and it is a fair old hike to get to the falls.  It’s not the only walk/hike in the area and camping is available nearby. Perfect for that holiday with slight adventure.
